Kylie set to help with fundraising effort
Specsavers in Burnham-on-Sea has recruited Aussie pop princess Kylie Minogue to help with a fundraising effort for the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB).
It might only be a life-size cut out of the petite Australian star, but the store is hoping it will help in their fundraising effort. Customers are being asked to put forward bids for Kylie, with the highest being able to take her home.
The store has been supporting the RNIB throughout the summer ahead of its store director, Rama Venkat’s, head shave on Thursday 21 September.

‘We’ve had the cardboard cut-out since the frame launch earlier in the year,’ said Rama. ‘Kylie’s so popular that we thought it would be a great way to help raise more money for the RNIB. We’ve put a £75 reserve on her but have no doubt she’ll generate lots of interest.’
People wanting to make a bid can place it in a box currently in store and have until Wednesday 20 September to do this before the winning bid is revealed on Thursday 21 September.
