Knockout challenge raises £1,000 for charity
Big hearted members of staff from Specsavers in Hamilton battled it out on giant inflatables in a fun event – and their sporting prowess helped raise hundreds of pounds for St Andrew’s Hospice.
Group of 10
A team from the Quarry Street store took part in It’s A Knockout at Strathclyde Park at the start of May. And through sponsorship and donations, the group of 10 raised £1,000 for the cause.
The team took top spot in their category, fighting off competition from five other businesses.
A word from our store director
Specsavers Hamilton store director Emma Foster said: ‘The event was great fun and everyone in the team really put their heart and soul into all the challenges.
‘We’re very proud to have raised such a fantastic amount for the hospice and I hope that the money will make a big difference to individuals and families who are battling cancer.’
