The Kirkintilloch store has raised £120 in aid of the Australian bushfires relief effort.
Specsavers in the town held a raffle and tombola in order to support the cause which is close to the heart of store manager, Lesley Carrie, who has family in Australia.
The funds will be split between two charities which are helping the people and animals affected by the ongoing bushfires – the Australian Red Cross and World Wildlife Fund.
The first prize of the raffle was a luxury hamper filled with treats which was won by Ian McDougall from Lenzie, who’s daughter also lives in Australia.
Neil Drain, store director of Specsavers in Kirkintilloch, said: 'Our team was very eager to do what they could to support ongoing efforts to help those affected by the bushfires in Australia, especially as Lesley has family there.
'I’d like to thank our fantastic customers for supporting our fundraising activities and helping us to donate to two vital charities which are helping those in need down under.'
