To celebrate the annual Up Helly Aa Viking fire festival in Shetland, Specsavers Lerwick held a colouring competition and encouraged kids to submit their finished pictures of a Viking ship in store.
A colouring station is set up in the waiting room of the Commercial Street opticians as a way for children to pass the time while waiting on their appointments. Their pictures could then be taken home, finished off and then returned to the store to enter the competition.
A Specsavers goodie bag was recently presented to eight-year-old winner Alisha Paterson.
Thomas Bruin, store director of Specsavers Lerwick, said: 'We love to see the different designs that the kids come up with and it’s always great to make sure they have something to do during their brief waiting time.
'We try to make the experience at Specsavers as pleasant as possible for both children and their parents and it was great to add a competition element to our instore colouring station. Congratulations to Alisha for her very neatly coloured ship.'
