30 years in Kidderminster
Kidderminster Specsavers will be raising their glasses to 30 years in business with a week-long celebration.
The team in the Swan Centre will be hosting a week of fun from Monday 6 March, inviting customers and members of the local community to join them in the festivities.
30th anniversary celebrations
The team will be hosting a ‘guess the member of staff’ competition, as well as handing out goody bags, donning 80s fancy dress and holding an awards ceremony for their long-serving team members.
The store will also be playing host to several charity events throughout the week, including fundraisers with Sight Concern, Guide Dogs and the Macular Society.
A word from the store director
‘This week is all about recognising the tremendous work our team do and thanking our lovely customers for their continued support,’ said store director Tim Reeves. ‘It’s hard to believe it’s been 30 years since the store opened its doors for the very first time. So much has changed over the years and the business has grown significantly.’
The store opened in 1987 with just six members of staff, carrying out a handful of sight tests each week. Today they have a team of 39 and see more than 500 customers a week, as well as offering audiology services.
Tim added: ‘We’re delighted to be a part of the Kidderminster community and are raising our glasses to the next 30 years!’
