A paramedic in Keynsham was delighted to receive a free bundle of contact lenses after visiting Specsavers in Keynsham.
Specsavers, on 12 Temple Street, has suspended all routine testing for the foreseeable future to focus on essential and urgent care only, particularly for key workers. The local paramedic visited the store to find an alternative to wearing glasses because the lenses kept steaming up when he wore a mask.
Vinay Solanki, ophthalmic optician, taught the key worker how to put contact lenses in, from a safe distance of two meters, and gave him some free trials of contacts to use.
A word from the store director
‘We pride ourselves in delivering an exceptional service for all our customers,’ says Specsavers in Keynsham store director, Richard Alexander. ‘Unfortunately, we have found ourselves in unsettling times, but we’re proud that we can continue to provide essential care to the key workers.’
