Food glorious food

Kenilworth Specsavers has been overwhelmed with the generosity of the local community after it appealed for donations for the town’s foodbank.
The store became a collection point for the foodbank in March and has already made a number of deliveries – helping local people in need.
‘We’ve been pleasantly surprised by the support of the local people,’ said Ambreena Ahsan Bhatti, store director. ‘We are going to continue our efforts and so ask that people still pop in with donations of in-date, non-perishable foods.’
The foodbank network is part of The Trussell Trust, a Christian charity committed to community action against poverty and marginalisation in the UK and Bulgaria.
