It's a family affair
Specsavers is known for its famous saying: Should've Gone to Specsavers. It seems this also relates to career advice!
Meet mum and daughter duo
Jennette Fry, supervisor at the Bournemouth store, knew what the perfect job would be for her daughter, Jemma - becoming an optical advisor at Specsavers! Jemma, keen to emulate her mother's success, is a valued member of the team and has been with the store since leaving school at 16 years old.
Eyes on become a dispensing optican
One of the reasons why Jemma's mum was so keen for her to join Specsavers was its excellent career prospects and on-the-job training. Says Jemma: 'There are so many different elements that I enjoy in my day to day role here at the Bournemouth store.
'Customer interaction makes every day different as one moment, I might be offering style advice to a professional or helping a young child pick out a fun pair of frames for the first time.
'The commercial side of working in a retail environment means the pace is fast and ever-evolving and the healthcare element is very interesting to me. The technological advancements in audiology and optics is incredible, allowing us to provide an exceptional level of customer service. Who knows what new innovation will be available in the next 10 years!'
