Generous residents from Ipswich and Woodbridge have helped staff from Specsavers raise over £1,000 for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH).
Throughout 2014, the team from Specsavers Ipswich and Woodbridge, reached the impressive target by hosting a series of in store fundraising events that included dressing up as popular children’s television characters Peppa Pig and Kung Fu Panda.
Customers were also entertained with an array of fun days, including cake sales and raffles to win designer glasses, with prizes donated from High Street retailers.
The team have also been offering glasses MOT’s in exchange for donations to help boost funds.
Store director, Mark Taggart said: ‘We have been absolutely overwhelmed with support from our customers and residents. Every fundraising activity the team has undertaken has been bigger and better than the last and this is evident from the impressive amount raised.
‘East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices is a charity that is close to many local people’s hearts and we will continue to raise funds for them this year.’
