Newport and Ryde Specsavers' stores are urging locals from the Isle of Wight to enter a great awards scheme backed by its founder, Dame Mary Perkins.

We need you!

Both directors know that there are lots of amazing local, young heroes and now is your chance to shine!  The awards scheme looks to celebrate the great efforts achieved by young people to benefit our society, charities and communities!

Dame Mary Perkins, patron of the cause

Dame Mary Perkins is a patron and supporter of the BCYA, that stands for British Citizen Youth Awards and the IOW team is happy support her.  All you need to do is get nominating!  Winners will get a day at Palace of Westminster in October 2017, where Specsavers founder Dame Mary Perkins will present the medals to those individuals who have done amazing things for their communities.

How to enter

The British Citizen Youth Award is open to all children who will be under the age of 16 in October 2017. To apply, please email jacquif@britishcitizenawards.co.uk with BCYA in the subject line. The deadline for all entries is Wednesday 9 August 2017.
