All eyes were on Specsavers in Stratford-upon-Avon as the team welcomed a very special guest to the store’s official 20th anniversary celebrations on 29 April.
Visit from the Mayor
The Mayor of Stratford, Councillor Tessa Bates, visited the store to mark its anniversary milestone and join in the celebrations. The team hosted a party day with balloons and cake and invited customers to also help them celebrate.
‘It was fantastic to have the Mayor join us, especially as she’s been a customer at the store for nearly 20 years too,’ said store director Paul Griffiths.
‘It’s testament to the team here and our loyal customers that the store has gone from strength to strength surviving through these tough economic times. This party day was a small way of us giving something back and a big thank you to everyone who joined us.’
The original store opened at 7 Wood Street in 1996 with a team of four staff, moving into larger premises just next door in 2002. It now employs 45 people in its optical and hearing business.
