Ilkeston raises its glasses to a quarter of a century
Ilkeston Specsavers raised its glasses to 25 years in business with a special party day on Saturday (6 June).
It’s party time
The store held a fun filled day for all the family, complete with a giant quadruped, face painting and birthday cake.
From the beginning...
Specsavers in Ilkeston first opened in 1990 with a team of just five staff, carrying out approximately 75 eye examinations a week. Today, a team of 43 carry out nearly 450 sight tests per week at the store, under the management of store director Krishna Parmar who has been with Specsavers for 29 years.
Support and commitment over the 25 years
To say thank you for all her support and commitment over the 25 years, the team presented Krishna with a plaque and a luxury spa weekend away at Ragdale Hall in Leicestershire.
‘When they unveiled the plaque and gave me my gift I was so surprised that I ended up in tears!’ said Krishna. ‘It’s thanks to the wonderful team I have here that the business is what it is today, and I feel incredibly lucky to have such a loyal and thoughtful team, alongside the support of all our customers.’
