A group of local brownies visited Specsavers in Hucknall on Monday 5 October to learn about eyes and eye health.

Twenty brownies aged between seven and ten years joined staff the team for a behind-the-scenes tour of the opticians. The youngsters learned about eye examinations, the role of an optician and the state-of-the-art equipment before taking part in a quiz to test their newfound knowledge.

Specsavers Hucknall store director, Janet Archer, adds: ‘We really enjoyed our evening with the Brownies. It was great to demystify the world of optometry and teach the Brownies all about eyes, as well as help them earn their Healthy Heart Badge.’
