Thousands raised for Comic Relief
Following this year’s Comic Relief the Norwich stores have contributed over £2,000 to bring Specsavers’ overall donation to almost £500,000.
Norwich White Lion Street and St Stephens raised thousands of pounds from selling comedy waving hands specs. Their donation is part of the near £500,000 raised by Specsavers, which is nearly double the business’ £250,000 pledge.
Store director, Robert Ellis said: ‘Our Comic Relief activity has been a great way for Norwich residents to help us make a big difference collectively to this amazing cause and help vulnerable people living tough lives both here in the UK and across Africa.'
He continues: ‘We also challenged locals to join our giant Mexican wave on social media as well – with some great contributions! It was great to see Norwich #GiveUsAWave.’
