Hospice competition winner Shona is all set for summer
A lucky Stirlingshire woman has picked up a suitcase filled with summer goodies after winning first prize in a charity raffle.
Shona McLean was one of almost 200 entrants in the Specsavers Stirling charity prize draw which ran in store in May and raised £282 for Strathcarron Hospice.
A word from our store director
Store director Susanne Akil said: ‘Supporting Strathcarron Hospice is very important to us, and we were thrilled to be able to donate almost £300 towards its vital work.
‘Giving away the summer suitcase is a thank you to all of our customers. Huge congratulations to Shona on her win.’
Along with a range of must-have summer essentials, the suitcase contained two pairs of designer sunglasses worth £250.
The store is a longstanding supporter of Strathcarron Hospice and last year it hosted quarterly fundraisers throughout the year to raise vital funds, whilst promoting awareness of the work the hospice carries out. This work includes special palliative care services, as well as home visits across Forth Valley, Cumbernauld and Kilsyth.
