The team at Specsavers in Hitchin held a very important St. George’s Day themed fundraiser for Isabel Hospice, which aims to provide care and support for adults who are suffering from life-limiting diseases.
Day of fun
The team put on a day of fun, activity and all things British as staff laid on a spread of delicious Victoria sponge cakes and scones. Children were also treated to face painting as well as colourful bunting and decorations in-store.
Close to our hearts
Store director, Huw Griffiths, said: ‘The Isabel Hospice is extremely close to all of our hearts. The work they do for the people who need it the most is amazing and we are committed to supporting them. The team had a lot of fun putting on this fundraising event and thanks to the brilliant residents of Hitchin, we were able to raise some money and put a smile on people’s faces.’
The store will be continuing its efforts for the charity with a series of fundraising activities and will be welcoming all donations in-store to add to the collection fund.
