Specsavers in Ludlow is helping children to be more visible when they’re out and about in the local area by donating bundles of high-visibility vests.

Children at Ludlow Junior School have received 30 vests from the team at Specsavers at 33 Bull Ring while a local Brownies group has also benefitted from a donation of 30 vests, ensuring they stay safe and seen.

‘We’ve given away 60 vests so far and are really proud to be playing our part in helping to keep local children safe when near the roads,’ said Nicola Aubrey, store director.

‘Even during the brighter days, high-vis vests can come in really handy on school trips and group outings by helping children to remain visible to road users and highlighting the importance of road safety. This week also marks Child Safety Week, so it’s a great time to spread the message of how to stay safe when near the roads.’

Specsavers works with road safety charity, Brake, to inspire communities to take action on road safety and raise awareness of life-saving messages.
