Pupils from Wootey Infant School, Alton are now safer on the roads thanks to Specsavers in Alton.

Donation

The team at Alton made a donation of over 100 hi-visibility vests to primary school pupils aged 4 to 7 during the spring/summer term of 2015. The fluorescent vests will worn by the children ensure that they are clearly visible at all times on local and national school trips.

Keeping an eye on children's safety

Specsavers store director, Premesh Patel, said: 'Road safety awareness is paramount, particularly for young children. After being contacted by Wootey Infant School’s Parent Governor, Amy Churcher, we were delighted to extend our support to the community with the donation of hi-visibility vests for their school class outings.’

Specsavers has campaigned throughout the past decade to highlight the link between vision and road safety.

Helping others in the community

More high visibility jackets will be available soon so get in contact if this is of interest.
