While Specsavers across the Hertfordshire region are closed for all routine eye and hearing tests at the moment, they are still open to provide essential care and support local keyworkers.
Customers are being encouraged to call their local store if they need urgent support with a visual problem, or if they have issues with their glasses, contact lenses or hearing aids.
Local customers are already benefitting
Last week, stores were dropping off glasses to the local elderly residents who needed them and two ladies called up the stores to thank them and say how great it is to have the new glasses.
Another 86 year old local resident says: ‘my new spectacles are life-changing and you have made a 86 year old man very happy, they are wonderful.’
