Specsavers Hemel Hempstead are hosting a week of fundraising festivities in a bid to raise vital funds for Cancer Research UK.
The team at Specsavers will be hosting various activities including a face painting and charitable specs repair service from Monday 30 May. The activities will culminate in a summer bake sale and face painting for children in store on Saturday 4 June, with all proceeds going to the special cause.
Meanwhile, store supervisor Ellie Battista has also signed up to complete Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life charitable 5k, and will be taking sponsorship donations over the course of the week.
A word from the director
Daniel Harris, store director at Specsavers Hemel Hempstead, says: ‘Cancer Research is a cause dear to many people’s hearts and we wanted to do our bit to show our support. ‘We’ve set ourselves a tough fundraising target but with the help of our community, we’re hoping we can reach it. ‘We encourage you to pop into store if you’re in the area – we’re looking forward to seeing new and familiar faces over the course of the week.’
