Eyecare experts raised £290 for a Hemel Hempstead-based children’s charity at a spec-tacular 20th anniversary celebration in the town.
The team from Specsavers in Hemel Hempstead celebrated two decades in the community by hosting a week-long children’s event in store in aid of Hope for Children.
Festivities culminated in a Halloween family fun day, where ten customers scooped designer specs in the birthday prize draw and visitors enjoyed a bake sale and face painting. Donations were also collected throughout the week in return for complimentary specs MOTs in store.
A word from the store director
Daniel Harris, store director at Specsavers in Hemel Hempstead, said: ‘Hope for Children carries out wonderful work right on our doorstep and we are proud to have been able to show them our support on our landmark 20th anniversary in the community.
‘Team members and residents alike enjoyed the celebrations, especially the Halloween fun day, and a fine sum was raised. Thank you to everyone who got involved and here’s to the next 20 years!’
