Helston Specsavers staff joined the local community to herald in the summer during the annual May Flora day celebrations.
Paul McGrane and Gillian Sanguinette, store directors at Helston said: 'This is such a fantastic day to be involved in and we got into the spirit of the celebrations and decorated the store. Throughout the day we enjoyed watching the various dances as they passed our shop front and we're looking forward to next year.'
A bit of history
This ancient festival has been held for hundreds of years as a spring festival to celebrate the end of winter and mark the arrival of the new season. On the day, houses and shops throughout the town are decorated with greenery and floral arrangements to express the spirit of renewal.
