When Specsavers in Goldaming was asked to help a local school 'Splat the Rat', they were a touch perplexed!  But when the school explained it was an outdoor game and they were some after assistance for their Summer School Fete, things became clearer.  And because it sounded great fun, the team jumped at the chance!

Splatting the Rat to raise money
The day of fundraising proved to be a great success.  Lots of parents and neighbouring families popped by to partake in the fun laid out by the school's parent committee.  Those willing to try and Splat the Rat paid to play the game for a prize, and in return, donations went right back to the school.

Elsa enjoys a day out and about
Elsa, one of the team members from Specsavers in Godalming, was on-hand to help at the event and said:  'It was great to see some familiar faces and meet some new people too.  There was a hint of competitiveness going on with some of the dads when playing the game, but suffice to say, it was a great day for all.'
