Helping children stay safe on Ellesmere Port's roads
Paul Quinton, store manager at Specsavers in Port Arcades, made a special delivery to Westminster Community Primary School in an effort to keep the children there safe this winter.
One for every child
Specsavers Ellesmere Port gifted every child in the school with a high visibility vest, in the hopes that they would be safe and seen by motorists.
Children walking at dusk
Paul comments: 'At this time of year with the dark mornings and nights, combined with increasingly wintry weather, it can be difficult for motorists to see pedestrians. Many children are walking home from school at dusk, which is a particularly hazardous time.
Safe and seen
‘With this in mind, we decided to spread the message 'be safe, be seen' while increasing the safety of children in Ellesmere Port and the surrounding areas by donating high visibility vests.’
