Hearing day proves hit with Ayr locals
Jim Miller tests out a state-of-the-art piece of kit which helps to illustrate what hearing loss sounds like with the help of clinical audiologist, Thomas Allison.
The new Specsavers Hearing Centre in Ayr held a hearing day to introduce locals to the new service and the stores clinical audiologist was on hand to answer any questions alongside experts from Siemens.
Clinical audiologist Thomas Allison was delighted with the results: ‘Our hearing day was a great success with many customers trying out the kit to gain a better understanding of how their hearing works.
‘Our experienced team offer full hearing assessments as well as advice. Anyone looking for advice on hearing problems or a free hearing assessment is welcome to pop in. We also stock a range of high-tech hearing aids.’
Comprehensive hearing service
The opening in Specsavers follows a significant investment in the latest technology, with a state-of-the-art refurbishment and the store gaining an extra test room. It brings with it years of experience in taking care of the nation’s hearing to more people in Ayrshire than ever before.
As well as conducting appointments from the Specsavers hearing centre on Ayr’s High Street, Thomas will provide a hearing service in neighbouring Specsavers stores in Ayrshire.
