The Glasgow Forge audiologists has gifted one lucky customer with a pair of life-changing hearing aids.

Competition winner
Julie Watson, 48, won the state-of-the-art digital hearing aids worth £1,995 by entering a competition with the Evening Times. The competition was to mark the re-launch of Specsavers Glasgow Forge, which now has a hearing clinic for customers.

Julie works full-time in the finance industry and had been struggling with clarity in conversations. One quick audiology test at Specsavers gave Julie peace of mind, establishing that there was an issue and hearing aids could assist her hearing ability.

Julie was extremely appreciative of the gift and said: ‘I am thrilled to have received these state-of-the-art hearing aids. They are very small and discrete which is perfect for someone my age who is a little self-conscious about having hearing problems.

‘Ryan at Glasgow Forge has been a fantastic help throughout the whole process, from my consultation to fitting the hearing aids - I couldn’t have felt more relaxed at Specsavers and I really appreciate the kind-hearted staff in store.’

Ryan, hearing director at Glasgow Forge, said: ‘Hearing problems can be a sensitive topic for many, and at Specsavers, we like to ensure that customers are aware of how we can help. Hearing consultations can spot any issues within the ear and vastly improve the quality of someone’s life.’

The Glasgow Forge store offers a weekly hearing clinic offering free hearing tests from its dedicated hearing aid team.
