Specsavers in Yate has been recognised for its high standards of health and safety

Members of staff at Specsavers in Yate have cause for celebration after receiving a prestigious award for high standards of health and safety.

Community commitment

The store was awarded platinum level health and safety status following an annual visit from a health and safety officer, who assessed appliances, customer care and staff safety, as well as the equipment used in store.

Store director Jane Morgan commented: ‘The team and I are thrilled to have been awarded platinum level for our health and safety practices. It’s an important part of our commitment to our local community, and we’re so pleased to be recognised for our hard work.’

The platinum award is the highest accolade a Specsavers store can be awarded for health and safety efforts.

Safe environment

Jane continued: ‘I’d like to say a big thank you to the whole team here in Yate. When it comes to health and safety, it’s vital to have staff on board and everyone here has made a fantastic effort to consistently follow the correct procedures.

‘Health and safety is at the forefront of everything we do, and ensuring that our store is a safe environment for customers and colleagues is a top priority, so we’re delighted to be able to display this achievement.’
