Specsavers in Haywards Heath has helped children to stay safe this winter by making a special donation.
Specsavers donated high-visibility vests to a local brownies group as part of a road safety initiative organised by Specsavers’ charity partner Brake.
Trevor Hoare, store director at Specsavers Haywards Heath says: ‘Now that the clocks have changed and the nights are getting darker, we want to ensure that children – and their parents – feel safe when they’re out and about over the next few months.
‘By raising awareness of road safety and by offering the children these vests, we hope that they take extra care on trips and excursions.’
Brake is a national road safety charity which exists to prevent deaths and injuries which happen on roads on a daily basis, through campaigns and other funding. The charity also promotes safe and sustainable road use and effective road safety policies.
