Haverfordwest rugby club teams up with Specsavers
Opticians in Haverfordwest helped players at a local rugby club make their faces funny for money for Red Nose Day.
Decade of sponsorship
Haverfordwest Rugby Football Club donned Specsavers’ limited edition Red Nose Day glasses for a team photoshoot.
Darren Salmon, captain of Haverfordwest RFC, said: ‘Specsavers has been a great supporter of our club and sponsored our kit for over a decade. We were happy to be able to return the favour by helping them fundraise for Red Nose Day.’
Make your face funny for money
Paul Skoczek, director of Specsavers in Haverfordwest, said: ‘We are delighted to be supporting this year’s Red Nose Day and want to encourage as many people as we can to join in the fun with a pair of our novelty specs.
‘The store already has a great relationship with Haverfordwest RFC, and luckily it wasn’t too difficult to persuade the players to add the funny frames to their usual kit!’
Whether it’s at home, work or school, the public are being encouraged to make their faces funny for money this Red Nose Day, which takes place on Friday 13 March.
Specsavers in Haverfordwest has joined Specsavers stores nationwide to support Comic Relief by selling the limited edition Red Nose Day specs.
The bright red frames with hair-raising black eyebrows cost just £3, with £1 from every pair donated to Comic Relief.
