Staff at Specsavers in Largs will be donning their best bonnets on Thursday 24 March to raise money for charity.
The store is supporting Brain Tumour Research by getting involved in Wear a Hat Day 2016 – an event which helps to raise awareness of brain tumours and their impact on individuals and families.
Customers visiting the store on the day will be invited to make a small donation to support the cause.
Raising public awareness
Store director Chris Leatham said: ‘The charity does so much to help people and families across the UK and it’s important for us to help raise awareness.
‘On very rare occasions signs of brain tumours have been detected through routine eye tests. There is a type of tumour can press on the optic nerve and symptoms can be identified during examination of the back of the eye.
‘We applaud any steps to raise public awareness and we look forward to playing our part in contributing on the day - we hope our customers will help by lending their support.’
