Optical assistant, Harry Perkins, has been rewarded for his excellent standard of customer service by the directors of Specsavers on Queen Street, Cardiff.

Highest number of praise from customers

Harry won the in-store competition and received an all-expenses paid, three-day trip to Paris for two after having the highest number of positive praise in customer review forms.

Over a three month period, Harry was recognised by customers of the store on more than 30 occasions for his extremely high standard of customer service and care.

Harry took his friend and colleague, Christy Hodgson, also an optical assistant at Specsavers, to the French capital.

‘Truly incredible trip to Paris’

Harry said: ‘It’s an honour to not have just won a truly incredible trip to Paris but to have been recognised by my managers and the customers of the store.

‘Being helpful, personable and interested in our customers’ needs is part and parcel of being an optical assistant, so it’s really humbling to have been rewarded for what I see as just doing my job.

‘Paris is a truly amazing city and I’m delighted to have had the opportunity to go thanks to Specsavers.’
