The team at Specsavers Ashford in County Square Shopping Centre had a spooktacular Halloween in store this year, with scary eyeball sweets for all and truly terrifying decorations designed to scare even the bravest soul.

And the Mayor of Ashford, Councillor Mrs Jenny Webb, dropped in to join in the fun with a gang of witches, ghoulish ghosts and spooky spiders.

Supporting a good cause

All the fun and games were in aid of the Ashford Volunteer Centre, one of the three local charities that Councillor Mrs Webb is supporting during her mayoral year.

The role of the centre is to inspire people in Ashford and the surrounding area to volunteer so they can enhance their lives and the lives of others, and help to build resilient communities.

Spooky goings-on

Robert Marsden, store director in Ashford, said: ‘We had a great Halloween in store, with far more treats than tricks – although there were definitely some spooky goings-on.

‘The team really enjoyed dressing up, and we hope our customers enjoyed the fun too.’
