One of the Skegness team has raised £1,500 after shaving off all of her hair for charity.

Charlotte Hodson, an optical assistant at the store, bravely agreed to let colleague and fully trained hairdresser Kate Johnson shave her head in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

She originally hoped to raise £1,000 but smashed her target thanks to the generosity of friends, colleagues and customers visiting the store.

A bold move from Charlotte

As well as the money raised for Macmillan, she also donated nine inches of her hair to the Little Princess Trust, which makes real wigs for children who have lost their hair having undergone cancer treatment.

Charlotte said: ‘I have always wanted to do this and to also have a positive impact on as many lives as possible. I’m glad I can also donate my hair to Little Princess Trust, where it’ll be put to great use.’
