Wandsworth eyecare experts are gearing up for their annual Guide Dogs appeal this weekend.
The team from Specsavers in Wandsworth’s Southside Shopping Centre will welcome working guide dogs to store on Saturday 3 December, along with the store’s mascot, Max the Puppy, as they fundraise for their partner charity.
Local retailers including Nandos, Waitrose, Waterstone, Costa, Pizzastorm, Cineworld and Clarins have each donated prizes for Saturday’s grand raffle.
On the day, younger guests can also enjoy the special children’s tombola and a ‘guess the puppy’s name’ competition in store.
A word from the store director
Raj Patel, store director at Specsavers in Wandsworth, said: ‘At Specsavers, we are passionate supporters of Guide Dogs and the work they do for people who are blind and partially sighted.
‘As ever, many of our fellow retailers have given us their backing ahead of this initiative, and we hope to see many new and familiar faces in store at the weekend, as we welcome our special guests. Fingers crossed we can raise a fine sum for the charity.’
Moure about the initiative
Guide Dogs is the UK’s largest and oldest guide dogs association.
Festivities kick off in store at 10am on Saturday 3 December, and the raffle will be drawn at around 4pm.
