The team at Specsavers in Uttoxeter opticians are hosting a competition to win a giant cuddly bunny for Easter, raising funds for Brain Tumour Research.

The competition was off to a hopping start, as staff from Specsavers in Uttoxeter took part in Wear A Hat Day, donning colourful headgear at work. The team raised £100 for the charity and joined nationwide stores in raising awareness that routine eye tests can detect signs of brain tumours.

Staff from Specsavers on the High Street are inviting locals and customers to take part in the ‘guess the name of the rabbit’ competition. Whichever lucky customer guesses the right name will get to take the giant cuddly toy home.

A word from the store director

Laura Jacks, store director at Specsavers Uttoxeter, said: ‘We started the bunny competition during Wear A Hat Day, and then thought that Easter would be the perfect time to run this competition, giving us a chance to raise even more funds for Brain Tumour Research.’
