The Specsavers staff ran a competition throughout the week for a chance to win an official Guide Dog toy and a box of chocolates. For those who don’t win one, Guide Dog toys are also for sale in-store.
Standing out for Guide Dogs
On the day, the team at Grimsby Specsavers will be dressed in their finest neon clothing, wigs and jewellery as part of the ‘Stand Out For Guide Dogs’ campaign. Visitors to the store will be able to indulge in a variety of homemade cakes and cookies, courtesy of the Specsavers staff.
About Guide Dogs UK
Guide Dogs UK has transformed the lives of over 30,000 blind and partially sighted people by breeding, training and supporting the dogs that restore their mobility and freedom. The lifetime cost of each Guide Dog is around £50,000, all of which comes from public support.
Gill Williams, store director at Specsavers in Grimsby, commented: ‘We’re really looking forward to our in-store fundraising week and are calling on our loyal customers to come along and help us raise as much as possible for Guide Dogs UK.’
