Goole opticians Think Pink for breast cancer
Specsavers in Goole is turning pink throughout October to raise vital funds for the Breast Cancer Care charity, which supports those suffering with breast cancer.
In aid of the charity, the team at Goole Specsavers is embracing the colour pink and will don pink t-shirts and outfits throughout the month of October.
Robert Winlow, store director at Specsavers in Goole comments: ‘The charity provides invaluable support to victims of the disease so we are thrilled to support them by raising vital funds. Everyone knows someone who has been affected by cancer and we hope our customers will pledge their support and donate whatever they can.’
Breast Cancer Care offers emotional and practical support to people affected by the disease, campaigns for improvement in standards of care and promotes the importance of early detection.
Someone is diagnosed with breast cancer every ten minutes in the UK, and one in eight British women will develop breast cancer in their lifetime. Thanks to an increased awareness and understanding of the disease, 85 per cent of people will now survive breast cancer beyond five years.
