Specsavers Sittingbourne have taken customers back in time to embrace all things vintage and raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. The charity provides specialist health care, information and both practical and financial support to people affected by cancer as well as carers, families.

Tea Dance

The opticians team invited people to join their vintage ‘Tea Dance’ and indulge in some homemade cakes for a small donation to the charity. Staff took inspiration from 40s and 50s fashion by wearing their very own tea dresses for the occasion.

Specsavers Sittingbourne store director, Caroline Matthews says: ‘We wanted to take the Macmillan Coffee Morning back to the good old days of the lindy hop!

Our staff bakers jumped at the chance to cook up a treat for customers and they sold out before we knew it. We’re a proud supporter of Macmillan and want to get involved in what we can to raise awareness of their fantastic work – if it means more cake sales, I’m sure our customers won’t be complaining!’
