Optical assistants Megan Gartshore and Carol McCallum recently visited Caskieberran Primary to inspire pupils to consider a career in optometry.

After discussing their job roles and how they got involved with Specsavers, pupils were given the opportunity to take frame measurements and have hands-on experience with the Specsavers contacts ‘touch and feel’ bowl.

Enthusiastic youngsters

Specsavers Glenrothes store director, Stewart Wilson, said: ‘The pupils at Caskieberran Primary were very enthusiastic and had lots of questions for Megan and Carol. It was great to see them getting so involved.

‘Specsavers has various possible career paths on offer and hopefully we inspired some opticians of the future.’
