Staff at Specsavers Glenrothes are set to take part in Breast Cancer Awareness Month by hosting a special fundraising day in support of the cause.

On Tuesday, October 14, the team will dress up in pink clothing and sell a selection of delicious cakes and baked goods, with all proceeds being donated to Cancer Research UK.

A cause close to our hearts
David Platt, store director, said: ‘This day will mean a lot to the team as one of our colleagues was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. We hope our kind-hearted customers will stop by to enjoy some tasty treats and donate to what is a very worthwhile cause.’

Increasing awareness and raising funds
Breast Cancer Awareness Month is an annual campaign to increase awareness of the disease. All funds raised from the bake sale at Glenrothes will go to Cancer Research UK, which pioneers research to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured.
