Glasgow city centre opticians in Sauchiehall Street, is set to join more than 200 other Glasgow retailers who have extended their opening hours to 7pm.
The change in opening hours is reflective of the new late night trading initiative – led by Glasgow's City Centre Retail Association (CCRA) and Glasgow City Marketing Bureau (GCMB) – to remain open for longer.
Specsavers in Sauchiehall Street aims to match other stores late night trading times, offering evening appointments which enable people who work in the city to access their optician at more convenient times.
The collective move comes following strong customer demand and consumer research, which found shoppers in the city centre would like to see later trading hours.
Sarah Freel, store director says ‘Keeping our doors open until 7pm is good news for our customers as we are positioned in the heart of the Glasgow shopping district.
‘Customers now have an extra hour to make it home from work and book in for their eye tests which, all too often, are pushed to the back burner.'
Ensuring your eyes are in top condition during the dark winter months is especially crucial for those who drive.
‘We look forward to welcoming our after-hours customers to our store.’
