The school holidays may be coming to an end but kids can keep looking cool at the start of term with a brand new pair of glasses from Specsavers in Waterlooville.

The opticians has a number of new, exclusive specs ranges featuring bold and fun designs to help young glasses wearers stay on top of the latest trends and ensure they’re the talk of the playground.

Bill Vance, store director at Specsavers Waterlooville, said: ‘If you’re looking for a new pair of specs for your child for the start of school, we have a wide range of kid’s glasses to help your little ones get the new term off to a great start.’

Minions on the march

The mischievous Minions returned to the big screen this summer with the launch of family blockbuster, Despicable Me 3. To mark the occasion, Specsavers Waterlooville has added four new Despicable Me 3 frames to its exclusive Minions range.

All the frames feature images of the characters from the popular franchise and come with single-vision lenses with a UV filter to help protect children’s eye from excessive sunlight.

Emoji specs raise a smile

Joining in on the smartphone and internet craze, Specsavers Waterlooville is now offering its own range of Emoji glasses to young customers aged four to 10.

The Emoji range gives little ones the option to choose from a selection of four acetate frames, each featuring their own set of emoji characters – which translates from Japanese as ‘picture character’ – ranging from smiling faces to pandas and footballs.

JCB unearths new Kids glasses

Adventurous youngsters will really dig the latest glasses from construction firm JCB, which has unveiled a new range of six JCB Kids acetate frames.

Younger glasses wearers aged three to five will have the chance to choose specs featuring JCB mascot, Joey JCB, while a selection of cool styles has also been launched for kids aged up to nine years old.

All glasses in the range come fitted with flex-hinges and scratch resistant lenses with a UV filter.
