Store reopens for business following redevelopment

16 September, 2014

People in Gainsborough will now benefit from the most up-to-date optical and hearcare services, thanks to the re-launch of a store in the town.

Specsavers in Gainsborough has invested more than £150,000 to extend the store which now features an additional testing room and incorporates a state-of-the-art retinal screener. As part of the expansion, the store has also taken on three new optical assistants, Treena Slack, Rachel Scott and Josh McNulty, in order to bolster the eye care team.

The redevelopment means the store is now 1,000 sq ft bigger, is home to 14 optical experts and displays more than hundreds frames from designer brands including Karen Millen, John Rocha and Gok Wan.

As well as eye care, customers in Gainsborough are now able to visit Specsavers for hearcare services. The redevelopment has allowed the store to expand its offer and it has welcomed a hearcare audiologist into the team.

Customers who visited the store on Saturday 30 August were treated to a free goody bag, balloons and cake as part of the store’s celebratory launch party, while the team were on-hand to discuss all that the revamped store has to offer.

Speaking about the re-launch, Jacqui Nicol, store director at Specsavers in Gainsborough, said: ‘We’re really excited to be opening our doors to our brand new store.

‘The expansion and investment in the latest technology allows us to deliver a standout service for even more customers in the local area. Our larger store has also enabled us to incorporate a hearcare service and bolster our team of experts by appointing a hearing audiologist to strengthen our service offer.’
