A proud group of Specsavers Gainsborough employees have teamed up to complete the Three Peaks challenge on Saturday 9th of July, in order to fight against coronary heart disease. The team will be covering a total of 5,000 feet of terrain, visiting the peaks of Pen-Y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough.
The staff at Gainsborough are showing their support by hosting a bake sale on the 9th of June at the Marshall’s Yard store. All proceeds will be donated to the hikers’ JustGiving page in support of the British Heart Foundation.
Jacqui Nicol, store director at Gainsborough Specsavers, said: “Heart disease is something that has touched the lives of so many – therefore it remains as important as ever to keep fighting it. I am extremely proud of our team for what they are doing. As a store, we will be behind them every step of the way”
Coronary heart disease remains the UK’s single biggest killer disease. Money raised can aid further research, saving the lives of those suffering from heart problems.
