Kitted out in bright red comedy glasses with hair raising eyebrows and their iconic red noses, Colwyn Bay Specsavers staff and customers were laughing it up during March as they fundraised for Red Nose Day.
The store hosted two fundraising days, when visitors took part in a joke lucky dip, a raffle and a quiz. The Red Nose Day glasses were on sale and customers were invited to pose for a photo to adorn a ‘Funny Face Wall of Fame’ in the store.
Erica Chapman, store director of Specsavers Colwyn Bay, said: ‘As a team we all thoroughly got into the spirit of Red Nose Day and enjoyed making our faces funny for money in support of the great work that Comic Relief does. We certainly raised more than a few smiles with our joke lucky dip. Thank you to everyone who came down and made all our events such a good giggle for a great cause.’
Specsavers in Colwyn Bay joined Specsavers stores nationwide to support Comic Relief and help poor and vulnerable people living tough lives both here in the UK and across Africa.
From painting their faces to donning the Specsavers funny specs millions of people up and down the country made their faces funny and raising life changing cash. The money raised through Red Nose Day, Friday 13 March, helps poor and vulnerable people living incredibly tough lives both here in the UK and across Africa.
