Hereford team raises £450 for Macmillan

The team at Specsavers in Hereford got behind Macmillan Cancer Support throughout September, hosting a raffle and taking part in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning to raise £450 for the charity.

Visitors to the store were invited to take part in the raffle to win a hamper of goodies donated by local shops. The team also hosted a coffee morning on 25 September, where customers could enjoy a sweet treat while raising money for the cause.

‘We’re really pleased to have Macmillan throughout September and are really grateful to the local businesses who generously donated prizes for our hamper,’ said Nialle Smith, store director. Our homemade cakes went down a treat with customers, and thanks to their generosity, we managed to raise £450 for Macmillan.’

Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is the charity’s largest annual fundraising event, encouraging people to come together to enjoy a treat while raising money for the charity. Providing medical, emotional, practical and financial support, Macmillan is there for the more than 2.5 million cancer sufferers in the UK and their families.
