Specsavers in Motherwell is getting ready to welcome hearing dogs to the store for a day of fundraising this weekend.
The store in Brandon Parade South will host a charity collection day for Hearing Dogs for Deaf People this Saturday 21 May from 11am until 2pm.
Customers will get the chance to come in and see the dogs and speak to their recipients about the work of the organisation.
The event is aimed at generating funds for the charity, and to make customers aware of all the hard work that goes into training the dogs so they can improve the lives of people with hearing problems.
Ian Moss, store director at Specsavers Motherwell, said: ‘Hearing Dogs for Deaf People does a lot of fantastic work in the community. We are delighted that we’re going to have hearing dogs and their recipients in the store to raise awareness.
‘We hope that customers will come along on the day to donate to the cause and to find out about the amazing work that’s done in local communities like ours.’
