Daredevils from Specsavers Llandudno and Colwyn Bay have braved hot coals in order to raise funds for a charity close to their hearts; Blind Veterans UK.
Hundreds of pounds raised
Several members of staff took up the challenge to walk across hot coals and raised hundreds of pounds for the cause.
Specsavers Llandudno store manager Lyn managed to raise £250 for the charity. Becky, Erica, Justine and Seren from the Colwyn Bay store raised a further £186.
Becky comments: 'We walked along 15ft of hot coals which were more than 600 degrees. It was an incredible experience and we are happy with the amount we have raised, hopping to raise even more next year.'
Much needed support
The charity, formerly known as St Dunstans, gives blind veterans much-needed support to adjust to sight loss, overcome the challenges of blindness and enjoy daily life. It has been offering physical and emotional support to vision-impaired members of our military since 1915.
