The team at Specsavers in Farnham were delighted to take to the pedals to support The Rotary Club of Farnham recent fund raiser.

Cyclathon event raises over £10,000

Specsavers was one of 38 teams that came together to pedal for great causes. The Mayor of Farnham, John Ward, accompanied by the mayoress, Gillian Ward, popped by to see the event and Hugh’s Ukes provided some musical accompaniment for their riders, impressing listeners with their rendition of ‘A Bicycle Made For Two’!

Suffice to say, a fun day was had by all despite some sore muscles!

Supporting Comic Relief

Specsavers in Farnham decided to fund raise for Comic Relief, a charity that the business is supporting nationally through the sale of its comedy 'Waving Hands' frames.  Store director, Lateef Iqbal, found the event good exercise for his Surrey Half Marathon and forthcoming London Marathon too!

The club thanked all its supporters that included Specsavers for helping make the event a great success.
