Specsavers has expanded its presence in the central belt with the opening of a Grangemouth store.

Cutting the green ribbon

The new store was officially opened by former Falkirk Football Club manager Alex Totten and first team player Craig Sibbald.

The duo cut the ribbon at the opticians, in La Porte Precinct, and met staff and customers during the opening celebrations.

The store is run by four directors, three of whom are also directors of Specsavers on Falkirk High Street – Jonathan Cawley, Neville Prescott and Zander McNaughton. They will be joined by optician Iain McPhedran.

New state-of-the-art service

Iain says: ‘After months of planning, we are thrilled to open our doors in Grangemouth.

‘We would like to thank our Falkirk FC stars Alex and Craig for helping us mark the launch of the store and everyone who stopped by the store during our celebrations.

‘Customers can expect the same fantastic service and advice, state-of-the-art equipment, and excellent selection of glasses as those who visit our sister store in Falkirk.

‘We’d like to thank Alex and Craig for helping us officially open the store and everyone who stopped by during our celebrations.’

The opticians features two test rooms and also plans to offer a hearing service in the coming months. Staff handed out branded gifts to customers during the opening party, including children’s goody bags and balloons.
